Invitation
From 16 to 20 of November 2022, Hashomer Hatzair Germany is organising a seminar with 20-25 activists, youth workers, and members of partner organisations from Europe and Israel.
Hashomer Hatzair was active in several cities in Germany until 1939. In 2022, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of its reestablishment in 2012 by bringing together the new, young generation of our organisation, in a search for traces and memories of the earlier generation of Hashomer Hatzair. The conference is a part of the third and last phase of the history project, introducing lesser known stories of left history and resistance, as well as newly designed educational materials for children and young people which can be used for intergenerational exchange.
This conference closes upon and summarises a year-long project that was built upon peer-education by dozens of volunteers, rooted in socialist and social-democratic values. In this conference, we will review the findings of the history project and go on a Hashomer Hatzair city-tour in Berlin. The participants will be the first to be introduced to the new educational products aimed at children and youth that were developed as part of the project. On Friday we will host a public event on antisemitism and remembrance, following a ceremony of laying stumbling stones for the Hirsch and Loewy families, who were resistance fighters and members of the Hashomer Hatzair Deutschland in the 1930s. The series of events will culminate in the celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the reestablishment of the Hashomer Hatzair in Germany. We will celebrate together on Saturday, on a 10 years’ anniversary celebration with our community, partners and friends.

ROSBOT is an initiative, offering a platform for international critical educators. We create trainings & development to new and existing educators as multiplicators, on various topics, in order to increase and support fearless educational work.
