From 7 to 14 of August 2022, Hashomer Hatzair Germany & ROSBOT are organising a seminar with 15 activists and educators from Germany, Israel and Poland.
Hashomer Hatzair was active in several cities in Germany until 1939. In 2022, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of its reestablishment by bringing together the new, young generation of our association in a search for traces and memories of the earlier generation of Hashomer Hatzair. The seminar is a part of the second phase of the history project, where we would like to discover less known stories of left history and resistance, as well as develop educational materials for children and young people that can be used for intergenerational exchange.
This training builds on peer-education on the base of socialist and social-democratic values. Following the seminar, educational materials aimed at children and youth will be published.
The seminar is relying on the active participation of the educators: the team is responsible for the overview and support, and the preparation of the introduction workshops. Experience in developing educational materials for children and young people is an advantage.
If you are intrigued by this opportunity and have interest to be involved in this project – this invitation is for you.
Please fill in the application form in this link by 10 July 2022 (NEW DEADLINE!) at the latest. Feel free to contact us for any questions or inquiries through rosbot(at)hashomer-hatzair(dot)de
Confirmation will be sent during the first week of July.
Arrival: Sunday 07.08. until 18:00
Departure: Sunday 14.08 after 12:00
Location: near Berlin, Germany
Paticipation fee: 50-100 EUR
*The seminar is open for both Jews and non-Jews, of all sides.
Hashomer Hatzair Germany is the international, socialist Jewish youth movement in Germany that promotes social justice and dialogue through non-formal education tools. The organisation works to connect and strengthen the pluralistic community as a group, for the recognition of Judaism as a shared culture and history, through intersectional lens.
ROSBOT is an initiative, offering a platform for international critical educators. We create trainings & development to new and existing educators as multiplicators, on various topics, in order to increase and support fearless educational work.
